The first week of Mexico’s FinTech ecosystem

From February 23 to 28, Mexico City will become the meeting point for founders, investors, regulators, technology companies, and leaders shaping the future of digital finance in the region. It will be a week to connect, learn, and build community with the players transforming the ecosystem.

FAQs

How can I become a Host during FTMX Week?

To participate as a Host, you must complete the form available in the “Hosts” section of the official website. Make sure to describe your event clearly and in detail to support its review and approval by the FTMX Week Committee.

Who can be a Host and what type of events can be hosted?

Hosts can include fintech companies, startups, financial institutions, investors, universities, embassies, regulators, and ecosystem organizations. FTMX Week welcomes a wide range of experiences, including panels, workshops, meetups, networking sessions, demo days, open houses, and wellness activities, as long as they add value to the fintech community.

What is an FTMX Satellite?

An FTMX Satellite is an event created and hosted by a Host that is part of the official FTMX Week agenda. These events are added to the Week’s program once they have been reviewed and approved by the FTMX Week Committee.

Can I define the capacity, format, and registration process for my event?

Yes. Each Host has the autonomy to define maximum capacity, event format, target audience, and the registration process, including whether access will be open or invitation-only, up to the venue’s established capacity.

What criteria are considered to approve events?

All proposals are reviewed by the FTMX Week Committee based on alignment with the goals of the fintech ecosystem, the quality and clarity of the content, relevance to the community, and compliance with safety and professionalism standards.

What support does FTMX Week offer Hosts?

FTMX Week provides visibility for approved events through its official agenda, digital platforms, and social media channels. The Organizer also provides general guidelines and support to ensure coherence throughout the Week. Event organization, operations, and costs are the responsibility of the Host.

Are there any costs to participate as a Host, or must events be free?

There is no fee to participate as a Host. Each organization is responsible for the production and operational costs of its event. Most events will be free to attend, although some may charge a fee depending on the format and the Host’s criteria.
